Paulin-Hatch, Campbell lift Braves to commanding 3-0 series lead

FORT MCKAY - Ethan Paulin-Hatch made 44 saves, and Kyle Campbell's goal with 8:21 remaining in the 3rd period helped the Fort McKay Braves to take a 3-0 stranglehold on the Oil Sands Super Series over the Fort McMurray Cowboys Tuesday night.

Carter Keca and Campbell both scored twice, who for the 2nd time this series broke open a tie game in the 3rd period. Leighton Desjarlais rounded out the scoring for Fort McKay.

The Braves outshot Fort McMurray 50-44 in what was the most tightly contensted game of the series so far. 

Jason Comeau, Alex Kenny & Evan Morrison scored for the Cowboys, who have been outscored 13-1 in the 3rd periods of this series.

Goaltender Robert Michetti was fantastic in net for Fort McMurray, stopping 46 shots in a losing effort, including a hight-reeling sprawling save to deny Keegan Pruden in the 2nd period.

Neither team scored with the man advantage, with Fort McKay going 0-3, and Fort McMurray going 0-4 - including another 5-on-3 opportunity of over 90 seconds for the 2nd consective game.

The potential series-sweeping clincher goes Saturday Night at 7:30.
